Hofoni had fun on the trip and he learnt a lot.

Daniel wrote a recount with lots of detail. Daniel noticed lots of things on the trip. He was looking and listening really well.

Serenity tried hard to write her  best recount ever and you did Serenity.

Our Trip to the Panmure Basin.

On Thursday the 30th of May Rooms 3, 5 and 19 went to visit the Panmure Basin to look at the Water Cycle.

When we got there we walked down the slope of the volcano. The Panmure Basin is a caldera.

Here we are having a rest after our long walk and having our photo taken.

We looked at the mangroves. The mangroves help keep the water healthy and clean.

Next we walked to the bridge and we looked at the fresh water stream and the salt water Basin. The stream runs into the Panmure Basin.

We saw ducks swimming in the salt water.

The water in the Basin is blue and white because the sky is reflected in it.

We saw a Pied Shag diving for fish.

There were lots of birds we had never seen before. Her are some Oyster Catchers with a seagull.

The bottom of the Basin is very muddy. There were bubbles coming out of the mud.

At the end we got to play on the playground. It was cool fun!

Here is a stick showing how far the tide went out while we were at the Basin.

It was a fantastic trip and we learnt lots about what happens at the collection points of water.
